Possible protocol to treat lupus nephritis shown effective

An advanced online version in the scientific journal Autoimmunity Review presents a new treatment regimen for lupus nephritis researched by the Autoimmune Diseases Group at the BioCruces Health Research Institute. This new protocol uses a significantly lower dosage of prednisone than the current standard of care. The results show that this protocol at least equaled the efficacy of standard treatment with fewer side effects.
