Canadian Analysis Follows Children with Lupus Long-term
Pediatric rheumatologist Deborah Levy, MD of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children presented findings from an analysis of the health records of 700 children at the American College of Rheumatology pediatric rheumatology symposium in Orlando, FL. Surprising results included lower than anticipated rates at end-stage renal disease and heart attack. The rates of miscarriage and still-births were higher than expected in healthy women.
